Founder: Stina Hawkinson

Stina Hawkinson is a Chicago based oboist who has a passion for arts accessibility, reedmaking, and contributing to a positive and uplifting musical community. Hailing from Wilmette, IL, Ms. Hawkinson has been present in the Midwestern classical music scene for years. In 2024 she received her Master of Music degree at the Northwestern University Bienen School of Music, where she received the coveted Eckstein Grant. In May of 2022 she received her Bachelor of Music degree from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music under the tutelage of Professor Linda Strommen. During her time at Indiana Stina received over 350 hours of reedmaking instruction. This level of hyper detailed instruction allowed her to really dive deep and develop her skills. Throughout her career so far, Stina has been able to play for and work with Elaine Douvas, John Ferrillo, Linda Strommen, Frank Rosenwein, Lora Schaefer, Anne Gabriele, Mary Lynch, Jessica Warren, Roger Roe, Michael Henoch, and more.
